As titled - I'm trying to correct a poster but when quoting their post & bolding bold the relevant portion of their post it does not work . . .
Same with italics italic
Is this a known issue?
Seems to work for me, are you formatting correctly? If you press the multi quote button on my post, you will see how it's done.Same with italics italic

Edit, you have to put the letters in the square brackets right up against the phrase you want to bold or italicise, with no spaces

It could be as you suggest & not snug up against the relevant text . . . Will have a further play tomorrow
Off to watch the footie for now

Apologies as not on my PC now to be detailed . . .
My last post here where I bolded the text
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
I also wanted to include the immediately following sentence from tele. . . within the same bold syntax
“Which part of that is unreasonable”
Didn’t work for me.
first world internet problems

You might want to read the entire context before offering your opinion.
I posted in this thread saying it's hardly a surprise we have water shortages after importing 7 million people.
I then receive replies unable to show my point was incorrect.
I explain it's much easier to control immigration than it is to increase every single public service, critical infrastructure and build houses and avoid suppressed wages.
Which part of that is unreasonable?
They then get frustrated and know they cannot refute the point, so they resort to pathetic personal responses.
Either show I'm wrong, or accept I'm correct.
You failed to explain in great detail your grandiose plans for controlling immigration. . . I posted in this thread saying it's hardly a surprise we have water shortages after importing 7 million people.
