What's with whole posts now simply saying "[redacted]"?

Noticed this when perusing some old threads.

Kind of assumed if things had been moderated the whole post would have gone but now I'm seeing quite a lot where the post is still there but the only content is the word "[redacted]"

Yeah, you don't have to go back too far either.

Thought posters themselves were removing posts but it was nothing contentious or inflammatory as far as I can remember.

It’s a load of mine as well, although I don’t remember getting any emails about posts being deleted?

This is when a member asks for all of their posts to be deleted and where possible, we will delete quoted posts as well, which is why you're seeing the redacted post.

Thanks Ben - thought it might be something like that as there was no moderation email - at least that explains it
