I hope this doesn't impact anyone here.

https://motorsporttickets.com/en

I know they are something to do with Travel Destinations so I hope that is unaffected.

Travel Destinations were a great company to deal with until taken over by that rabble

Blimey, that is a surprise. I used TD at least a dozen times until this year where I opted to try Team Langoustine.

They always seem to be well booked up so surprised they have gone under.

I wonder who is going to pick up the rent of the private field on the outside of Porsche Curves.

I used TD a few times for Spa 6hr weekends, agreed it all went downhill when they were bought out.

Is this not a separate company with a similar name and logo, as Motorsport Travel Destinations appear to be still going?

Same addresses, same website templates and details but different owners (according to companies house).

So maybe they are jettisoning an unprofitable part of their portfolio and keeping the track days and TD side of things.

Not that I’m a customer of theirs anymore, but if I was I’d be very wary of booking with them for next year as things stand

If the company was bought by a bigger group and then customers and any goodwill etc transferred over then probably noting left of note nor any real customers so just getting rid of a dormant company

There will be bit about what to do if you’ve bought tickets from them doesn’t read like that though

I extensively documented my issues with Motorsport Destinations on here for my 2024 trip to LM24.

They were nothing less than a shambles. I don’t even think they were ABTA at that point either.

Barge pole.

I experienced superb service from Travel Destinations for many years, and then utterly shameful service for one year from Motorsport Tickets Travel Destinations

Hopefully, if that's the case then they could close down the company in an orderly manner, without leaving any customers without tickets, and no unpaid bills to suppliers etc.

Let's hope that's what they will do, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Full disclosure - I once purchased a ticket from them months in advance, but didn't get the ticket till 7 days before the event, that was enough to put me off using them again

I am writing as an owner of a private site but this is not in any way an advertisment. What i would like to do is set some guide lines which may help users of this forum.

Ticket Agents are not usually bound by the need to be a member of an organisation like ABTA or ABTOT therfore there is usually no need to repay any monies in case of financial failure some may have protection and also finacial failure insurance. usually best to use a credit card. Some agents will refund if the event does not go ahead with an admin charge.

Agents who who sell packages need to have some form off financial protection bonded or insurance based, check out their terms and conditions and ask questions if unsure.

Hopefully this helps clatify the situation but more than pleased to give any further information if required.

Hmmmm .. be interesting how this pans out - we used them 3 years ago and once there all was good but the whole experience with the booking, invoices and comms was a bit shoddy. Speed Chills were brilliant, shame they got swallowed up by this lot!!

We are looking to go next year and have an enquiry in with them so will definately keeping an eye out before we pass over any funds
