Just be careful with insurance. I was nearly caught out. My policy wording said that European cover was included upto x number of days per year.... then later on it said that the cover in Europe was the MINIMUM cover required in law (3rd party only).

Phoned up and went for the "extended" European cover to give me fully comp. abroad. No charge was made for this

My cover is through More Than, it's worth checking !

Whatever you have runs out at year end. If you apply for one now (5 min. at post office) you also fill out a form for its replacement which will then be sent you later in the year. Think this one is then indefinite and some form of ID card format.

How about a tent and a sleeping bag? Might be handy if you're planning on getting some sleep and they generally a bit more spacious that kipping in a TVR!

Good call, worth checking though as mine provided me with 12 months euro cover but only 90 days at comprehensive cover rate.

Daft Question Alert!

Houx has electrickery doesn't it? Now being a camping newbie (I have been once at PistonFest) there is apparently some camping plug you can get to hook up to the sparky stuff. I checked out the laminated book of dreams and it had this. Now will this be compatible in France or do I need a specific frenchy one?

Help would be appreciated!

Cheers

IIRC that'll do the job nicely sir, although you will want a little more flex than that one seems to have...

I would also take a froggy 2 pin to british 3 pin adapter as some sockets are that style.
