At time of booking it said they would go to normal GA tickets and then you have to pay the extra. I ordered some for our group who are taking a Tesla, but as long as they have evidence and validate the ticket you could in theory go in anything.sahajesh said:

Can't see why it would. They already have a ticket and are one of the 300k.It' s more likely that you just pay the difference.
tbh, quite possibly a way to get entry if 'green' are still available to purchase.

I'm sure this was a 10% discount which would transfer back to full price GA if you didn't validate, but this sounds more final. Maybe lost in translation.

Have had mine too and am awaiting validation for the V5 I've uploaded. I'm guessing there are no subsequent checks once validation has taken place anywhere as it would be admin overload...Have now had the UK V5 certificate rejected (twice) as proof of travel.
The reason for rejection is "Grey Card not valid" - the French V5 is called a grey card, so it looks like if you have a French Grey Card, that's fine, but anything else will be rejected.
I suspect I'll be paying the increase as it says if you cannot evidence the Grey Card, the ticket office will be in touch (the implication being you pay the difference).

One of our party is taking a Tesla and his V5 from the lease company has just been rejected, along with the VE103A so will email ACO as there is no other way you can prove ownership. Same problem here with "Gray card not valid".
The V5 is in my mate's company's name so I wonder if this is the reason i.e. if V5 does not match the booking name.
Has anyone been successful with the validation and if so, who's name was their V5 in.
I've already emailed them and tried calling this morning but nobody is picking up.

Let’s say you own a Prius and a classic Aston V8 Vantage (I.e not very green).
You buy cheaper ticket and submit paperwork but then turn up in the Aston? Perhaps green parking tickets get a registration put on them also?
The extra admin for the green tickets must be horrendous. I get the idea but wonder how well it will be executed.
Hopefully not delays on the gates because of it.
