I believe that Parking Blue has free parking, I wondered if anyone has used this option before (I normally have parking sorted by now but this year have only managed to bag 2 general entry passes). So I was wondering where I could park walking distance from the track? How large are the free parking areas? Do they ever get full? Hard standing / grass? Anyone have any first hand experience with these car parks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you search for "Parking Actisud Le Mans" on google earth this will show you the hard-surfaced and free "Parking Bleu". Some land on the opposite side on the edge of the airfield is also used for free parking. It's about a 20-minute walk to the main entrance (by the museum) subject to crowds, ease of crossing the road etc.

You walk through the edge of the car park at the edge of the airfield if your’e coming in through the Maison Blanche entrance. It’s just grass in large part, fairly firm ground unless it’s been tipping down.

We walked through/past every day we came in the last two years, as we were staying in Arnage. Cars of all sorts, fezza owners seemed to have some private parking last year, and also the PH camping was in there as well a bit further back, as I recall.

Seemed ok to me.
