It's a long shot, I know, for so many reasons.
But...
I had planned on taking Mrs Artois' car this year as, up until last Friday, I only had my van to take, which is nice, but then I managed to bag my dream car, an Alfa 4c. But, as you probably already know, practicality didn't feature very highly on the list of essentials when they were designing it, so, luggage space is (severely) restricted.
I'll be heading down on the overnight from Portsmouth to Caen on Tuesday but have more stuff to take than I can fit into the Alfa.
So..
And here's where my hat is doffed...
Is there anyone from the S Wales, West Country, Midlands area who would be able to take a bit of extra luggage in return for some beer tokens? It's only my 13 yr old son and I going so there won't be a huge amount but it would mean so much, to both of us, to be able to take him in the 4c.
I know it's a long shot but I have my fingers crossed.
Thanks for getting this far.

We’ve done Le Mans in a Morgan Morgan 4/4 (the tiniest variant) and in an f type cab with almost no boot.

It’s possible, small tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 blow up mattresses, change of clothes - buy the rest when you get there

I'm more than willing to help however based in Essex and travelling down on Friday morning and will be leaving Le Mans before the end of the race, as I'm taking my 6 year old boy.

I'll be driving my 3 series touring so I'll have plenty of room.

We are camping in Hippodrome.

Can you believe i bought the car from Braintree?? We are also leaving early Sunday afternoon, Oscar has to be back in school on Monday morning. If I can't sort something else out before then I'll be in touch but thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it. I'm only really that bothered about getting the generator and fridge down there, the forecast is hot so I need to keep the food (beer) cold lol

I've done it a different 4c before, twice, but I like my comforts nowadays

Impressive lol but I'm hoping to get my fridge, table, bbq, a portable toilet and generator along too. The tent, chairs, clothes etc we can manage but the bulky items, no way

I know this will not win any points with any environmental types. But have you thought about buying the bulky camping gear once you get there and not brining it back?

I can't work out if that is serious or not LOL.

Fridge - Buy Bucket down there - add water
Table - Buy Bucket down there - turn upside down
BBQ - Buy metal Bucket down there, or disposable
Toilet - Buy Bucket down there
Generator, no need, 3 buckets sorted that.

Briefly yes. I'm not eco warrior, obviously, but I couldnt bring myself to be as wasteful as that

OP, you could always scratch the fridge from the freight list and buy a cheap cool box and a few slabs of ice from the hypermarket when you get down there to keep the food cool. Then recycle the cool box (probably about 14 euros) when you leave.

PS we somehow have always managed to find space for our cheap cool box (not as big a fridge) in a 911 or Cayman, but both are a bit bigger than a 4C luggage-wise & we also take army cots and camping chairs which are probably equivalent sized to a reasonable tent

You realised all the Se7en/Ariel Atom/etc drivers who go down each year are just rolling their eyes at you, don't you?

Lol yes, it is very useful for storing bottles of French beer though.. I really appreciate the offer but I've managed to grab the attention of someone I know who lives a very shirt drive from here and is taking a T5 so...
Happy to meet up over the course of the event though, I'd like to buy you a beer for the offer
