WEC Back to Silverstone in 2027
Discussion
Silverstone will ALWAYS ask for more money for anything, I will probably only go on Friday, 50 quid on a Saturday to watch 15 minutes of a pointless Hyperpole is not good value really.
But as usual tens of thousands of people will pay over the odds just to "be there", I get it, but when you compare to other venues, Britons have just become accustomed to this dump ripping people off for no real reason I can see.
Ticket prices in this country are never what they really need, they are "how much can we get away with", if not enough people go it might drop in the future as I imagine this is a multi year deal. But Silverstone are perhaps the worst rip off merchants in motorsport for tickets.

Great news, I think the tickets are released on Tuesday - hopefully less expensive than the F1
£95 for an advance weekend ticket apparently, vs 65 euros for the equivalent at Spa

I think '78 was the first year I went, it was the year 'Moby Dick' took part. Never been back to an endurance race there since but next could be the year...
I went to the first one held at Silverstone in 1976 I think, I was 5. John Fitzpatrick won in a Hermatite BMW. I remember my dad got his autograph after the race. Last one (of that era) before it changed to 1000kms was 1982 - first race for the 956. Might have a trip to it next year, 40 years since I last went to a WEC race.

Really want to go to this as I haven't done a live Endurance race for a while, last one was Britcar at Silverstone and I had free tickets they were giving away at the Autosport Show, I think most of the crowd was the same judging by the people I spoke to! I'm close enough to just do the Sunday on a day trip but £70 for raceday is punchy when it's £95 for the weekend. Guessing they want people to do both days and pay for accommodation but that's getting expensive then!
Have they shot themselves in the foot already? Hope not as we really do need a UK Endurance event.

Pringle has said 95 for all three days, you can get paddock access but it is Wing so might aswell be in Scotland.
It is about the same as MotoGP which this will possible replace as the second biggest event there.
For Gods sake you won't know about stands until the tickets start to sell and they see demand, I would imagine some will be closed, that is usual, but if demand is huge they might get extra or open them all. You lot seem to be overly keen to line a circuits pockets for 9 months, the prices will NOT change so just wait and see, they rely on this FOMO to make money from interest, the prices will be the same now as they will be the week before, chill out.
Fair enough book hotels etc, but not race tickets
