Bit of a tradition of my group to take a nice drive out on the friday last year did samur lovely place drunk alot of wine in the town square. About 80 miles south has anyone any other ideas?????? etc

Last year our group found a nice place for our Friday drive out ( good to 'chill out' before the noise & madness starts!)

There's a place called 'La Fleche' that's only about 44 kms SW from Le Mans. Has some nice places of interest to view by the river and good venues to eat & drink.

As one of the drivers , I didn't mind having the one shandy in between the orange, they'll be plenty of beer to come later over the weekend!

La Ferte Bernard. Great nosh at Le Dauphin, just by the gateway.

Be careful, there is always a speed trap on the A11 at La Ferte Bernard.

SAMUR IS ABOUT 70 MILES SOUTH ANYONE NOT BEEN ITS A LOVELY PLACE AND A REALLY NICE PLACE WE WILLING TO CONVOY ITF ANYONE WANTS A DRIVE OUT IN THE COUNTRY AND HAVE A BEER
