Rumour does indeed have it that the new motorway is going to be a turkey shoot for Le Plod so probably worth missing on the way down at least.
Last year I came back on the B roads via Alencon, Argentan, Lisiuex, Honfleur over the Pont Du Normandy and then pick up the motorway at Le Havre all the way back up to Calais.
Largely Plod free and a great Hoon to boot, well worth the effort.

FUBAR - we're on the same boat - this is my 20th year ! and in my humble opinion I would avoid the 138 or 28 on the way down with the exception of heading towards Beaumont sur Sarthe for a spot of light refreshment before making the final run down in so be adventurous and go the back route (so to speak) and don't worry about the track being closed when you get there it's still pretty easy to get around

Get your name down here Bobo so I dont look a complete Billy No Mates www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=25&t=260722&p=3 Actually, there's one other TVR on the boat (dunno if he's a PHer?) that I know of. Thought I was sharing the boat with a load of lorry drivers and no petrolheads
(disclaimer: :cough: not saying lorry drivers arent petrolheads
) Certainly interested in running some of the way down with you, especially as you are such an old pro at this
(God, the stress, tension and worry has suddenly evaporated
) I was/am running with satnav so I wasnt THAT worried, but someone who knows the intersting routes would be more than welcome. Even if you are with others, maybe you can point out a route over a coffee on the boat?
