Tunnel Im guessing would be a no, if you aren't allowed lpg cars on there, unless you hide it the chance of that being allowed on is a big fat........

They let me on there last year with a bottle for my paella ring, you just have to tell them and they put a special sticker on your car.

We always take smallish gas bottles for the camping stoves.
When checking in, the Chunnel staff ask if you have any gas with you and if so how much. I guess there is probably a limit as to how much you can take, but not sure what it is.Then they slap a big hazard sticker on your windscreen. You then get pulled over at the customs bit where they ask to see the gas bottles. So, what we have learnt, is to pack the gas where it's easily accessible!

Never had a problem taking camping Gaz or a 15kg propane bottle for the BBQ / Cooker over.
Caravans carry Gas, they are used to it.

thank you very much for the above info.
i have received the following from eurotunnel:
Vehicles fitted with LPG containers to power domestic services e.g. cooking, refrigeration, heating and water heaters are accepted as long as the containers are switched off, weigh no more than 47kg and are not more than 80% full. If your vehicle is fitted with such a container, you must declare this at Check-In. LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and dual powered vehicles (i.e. vehicles fitted with an LPG tank as an alternative fuel) cannot be accepted for transport by Eurotunnel.
I await a response from Speedferries ... once i have it, i shall post it up for future reference.
thanks again, d
