Been rifling through the DVD and Video collection this week, found an old gem that I haven't seen for a while: "The Speed Merchants"
Forgotten what a great bit of film it is, the Targa Florio was just stunning! Love the idea that if you break down or shunt miles away from the pits you get invited in for dinner by a local family and treated like royalty!
Great Le Mans footage, although very sad that it was filmed the year Jo Bonnier died, the shots after are very poignant...
Anyway, on a lighter note, will be watching the obligatory Steve McQueen film tomorrow or Thursday and a couple of others, anyone else doing the same?
