Had been watching the lambo during the race and suddenly noticed it had disappeared!

When did they retire and what for?

Black race lambo looks mean!

I also wanted to know this. Radio LeMans seemed very quite when it came to the Lambo. Shame on them! My wife and I smiled at each other everytime that Lambo passed. Loved it and the flames it licked out everytime it backed off!

i'm not too sure either. i'm suprised it lasted as long as it did, the japanese seemed very careful with it and it was being driven very badly. they werent revving it as high as the italian team do in the FIA GT championship either so believe it or not it didnt sound as good, although the italian team cant make it last more than an hour!

thats for anyone that misses the sound already

THe mystery continues - radio le mans coverage was good but I must admit they got lost in their own waffle sometimes and didnt keep listeners up to date with things near the end...

anyone know what happened then at all?

Results show that the Lambo was NC with 283 laps completed.

I think that means Not Classified. I read somewhere that the cars have to do a certain % of laps of the overall winner to actually place in the race.

I was in the grandstands at about 2pm and saw it (on one of the TV screens) pull off the road and onto the grass on what look like to be one of the straights. No idea what was wrong though.

The Lambo did finish, but it is not classified as a finisher as all cars must complete 70% of the laps that the winner has done.

This is so you can't just do the first and last few laps and say you ran for 24 hours..........

I too had a little soft spot for the Lambo, sounded luuurrrvvvveeellllyyy!!!

Isnt that % thing a little unfair then as theirs a huge difference in ability between an R10 and lambo!!

all cars have to complete 70% of the amount of laps completed by the race winner in order to be classified as finishing the race. Seems about fair I think.

Did it? I didn't see it running as the race came to a close, so I assumed it never actually reached the finish line?

There was a black lambo looking shape under a tarp in Parc Ferme which I could see from the grandstand towards the end of the race. Could not clearly see what it was even with binoculars cos the rear diffuser was left on top of the rear end. If so it would indicate the lambo did enough laps to be classified?

I dont think it did either, last sighting was when we took heli flight at about 3 pm, it certainly was gone by 4.30pm

I was at the back of the pits when it was recovered back to Parc Ferme after the race finished. There was no obvious damage and the recovery driver didn't know why it had packed up. It looked great though. Full carbon fibre body. A great car

I t came in on a flatbed during the presentations and was quickly hidden away round the back - no obvious damage unlike the very scorched LMP1 or 2 that came in just after it.
