Charletans Concert Support Band

Did anyone else drag themselves away from the racing for a few hours? If so what was the name of the support band?

Slight thread hijack but did anyone see the fight at the end of the Charletan set. Some scawny little drunk kept having a go at these huge bouncers. They just pushed him to the ground but he got up and kept coming back at them. Eventually, after the umpteenth time, they took him behind one of the fences. Presumeably to give him a good kicking. It was quite comical to watch and there was quite a crowd around. I hope he wasn't done over too badly at the end but he was behaving like a complete tt.

Yeah, left after that started happening, that and the pre-recorded music coming back on signified to me that they weren't doing an encore.

But how storming was the Charlie's set? They were on great form - wasn't too keen on the Simpatico material but they played the new songs amongst a greatest hits set so it was just a fantastic gig. They were also a lot tighter than when I saw them at V98. Definitely one of the highlights.

Hopefully the ACO will give us a bit more of this next year (and not JK!!)

The Charlatans were amazing. I think the support band was called something like 'Jehro' they were absolute sh@!te IMHO

Only saw a bit of this as I walked right past to get to dunlop bridge - not really my cup of tea and anyway was more interested in the race that was taking place, which apparently is there every year!!!

I saw that, he started kicking off with his Mrs over the other side of the concert and when we left he was having it with security who I might say were very reseved until matey slapped his missus. They obviously thought he had gone to far then as he was taken away behind the scenes for a going over!
