Did anyone NOT get lost at some point at Le Mans?
Discussion
We sure as hell did - many times:
Finding Arnage corner at 1am on the Sunday morning - it took us an hour.
Finding our way back to our campsite (it was a few miles from the circuit).
We managed to lose our car in the Rouse Car Park.
We struggled to find the Driver's parade on the Friday night.
We got lost walking back from the pub to the campsite on Sunday evening.
I've come to the conclusion that half the fun of Le Mans is simply getting from a to b - bit like the London Tunnel Runs in some ways!

we were never lost the whole weekend ....
we always knew exactly where we were ....
Admitedly this was not necessarily where we always wanted to be ...
the problem was usually in how to get from where we knew we were to where we wanted to be

Glad it wasn't just us then!
- Started badly as we couldn't even find the circuit from Le Mans city centre
- Arriving at Houx Annexe 11:30pm in a thunderstorm via police escort didn't exactly help us get our bearings!
- Couldn't find Carrefour and ended up in some other random supermarket
- Following the signs for "Parking Vert" and ending up in some residential area
- Taking the long way round when we walked anywhere
- Leaving on Sunday evening when the police seemed hell bent on keeping everyone in and blocking every road we wanted to get to
All good fun though

We got lost doing this too! Were you following the signs for Parking Arnage (Purple-ish i think) and then all of the sudden, they stopped?!
For us, it was a case of asking les flics - "pardon miseur, où est le parking arnage s'il vous plaît?"
The most common site during the trip and our mini hoon round the loire valley was M3ed's hand sticking out the window signalling an about turn. His navigational abilities were also in fine form around the track. It is expected that he will soon be logging on as "onehuneraneighty!!!!!"

I've always thought that I've got a fairly good sense of direction but
for years I consistently ended up somewhere other than where I was
trying to get to. I took a compass on the 3rd year and still everything
went wrong. It turned out that the habit people have of printing Le Mans
maps with the Hunaudieres straight at the top of the map (north where
west should be) was the cause of my naviational difficulties. It really
did take me three years to suss this out and I put it down to the vast
quantities of stella stubbies I'm in the habit of consuming. C'est La
Vie!
