The tall blue VW camper in Parking Blanc
Discussion
Sorry to post up another 'VW Camper' thread.
It's mine - there were a fair number of people staring at it oddly as they walked past and there were a fair number of people who I drifted past (and even some who drifted past me) on the autoroute on the way down. Just in case anyone was curious (like customs on the way back) it's so high cos it's 4WD.... oh and there's a Subaru engine in the back of it which is why I was drifting past people on the way down. In no way can I confirm that the mirrors fold in of their own accord at over 100mph.
First time at Le Mans - I will be going back next year, too. I'm sure it used to be better (didn't everything?), but it was pretty damned fine this year, even though we were mostly just chilling out and watching the race and the cars go past.

It's nothing special - only an EJ22 (2.2NA). Problem is I've taken the top gear from 0.86 to 0.77 on a gearbox rebuild and now the EJ22 is in I feel it's crying out for a 2.0 turbo of some sort - it's still getting knocked back a bit on REALLY long, steep hills.... ah well 2007, or something.
Syncros aren't that rare and mine's just a Caravelle with some camping bits in it - keeps it light(er) for off roading
