My wife is after a replacement for our 16 plate Hyundai Sante Fe. The car has done 100k and is the 2.2 diesel auto. It's a great car but feels tired now. I test drove the new Sante Fe and liked it though my wife wasn't keen on the looks.
She likes the RR sport but I feel a 20 plate would need a decent warranty on it and the insurance is about £2k. Plus I've heard lots off issues with the 2.0 engine. Is the hybrid 2.0 the same engine?
We also test drove a byd seal u, I was impressed with this but she again keeps looking at a RR sport

Avoid the 2.0 engines, they have weak timing chain guides and will cause you a headache. The hybrid is the same engine, except with the added complexity of the hybrid system as well. She likes the RR sport but I feel a 20 plate would need a decent warranty on it and the insurance is about £2k. There will be a noticeable jump in running cost coming from a 2.2d to any luxury SUV so be aware.
How about a Mazda CX-5 ? We've just picked up a 21 plate 2.5 petrol GT-Sport which comes with loads of tech - leather heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, cooling front seats, HUD, ACC, carplay/android, bose stereo, electric tailgate, etc...
The engine took a bit of getting used to as it's a while since we've driven anything which isn't turbocharged, but it has plenty of grunt when needed. Although I'd steer clear of the diesels as they seem to have a poor reputation.

The Mazda diesels had a poor reputation, but the issues were sorted on post-2017 models (incomplete DPF regens causing diesel to mix with the oil over time). I had the 2.2d 175hp in a Mazda 6 and it was a decent engine that took a tune very well! The engine took a bit of getting used to as it's a while since we've driven anything which isn't turbocharged, but it has plenty of grunt when needed. OP - have a look at the Peugeots 5008 / 3008 (just avoiding the puretech engine...). We went from a 67 plate 5008 to a 69 plate Audi Q5 and it felt like a downgrade. Went from the Q5 to a 2022 Tucson Ultimate and while it has every bell and whistle imaginable, it's a dog to drive.
Also worth considering Volvo XC90 and XC60 which are lovely places to sit.

If reliability is a priority look at the RAV4 and Lexus NX
Yep, Suzuki Across is also a cheaper badge engineered version of the Rav4 PHEV that comes fully loaded with kit. All will still be under warranty for years yet too. Over 300 bhp, 60 in 5.5s, 50 mpg plus 45m EV range. Makes something like a 2.0 diesel Evoque feel pretty slow and old fashioned.
If you like your Santa Fe then go and test drive a Genesis in either GV80.
