Been looking for a Mercedes C43 and narrowed it down to 2, not seen either due to distance but seen lots of paperwork, walkaround videos and stacks of images.

Car 1 - Jul 2017 so £195 RFL, full Mercedes history (mostly at Brooklands), 43k miles, Premium Plus plus additional HUD, Aircap, Blind Spot Alert (useful) and Lane Keep Assist (not so useful), on full set of Winter tyres but premium set of Summer tyres included in the sale. Has also had the later 10.25" infotainment screen fitted (original supplied) - private sale at £20k

Car 2 - Mar 2017 so £395 RFL, full history, Mercedes and indi, 86k miles, Premium Plus spec - dealer sale at £18k

Eith the RFL it depends on how long you plan to keep the car. If it's a long time then that additional cost really does add up.

10years and you've thrown away a week all inclusive in the Canaries is the way I tend to look at those things. Or that's the kind of price I'd want off the list price.

First one.
Even if it is £2K dearer, but you will be able to get that back comes selling time.
Also cheaper RFL (not huge difference but makes car more desirable). Seems also well spec’d, HUD is a rare finding on these.
Make sure you get a PPI done though.

Good luck.

The first one...the second option wouldn't even be given the time of day.

Easily the first one for me Clive…

(Just make sure you get it inspected beforehand if it’s a private sale!)

First one definitely more appealing but would be tempted to go with the second one for the Merc warranty. Or, as the first car is under 10 years old, buy a Merc extended warranty for it. Been burnt recently not getting a Merc from main dealer so am pretty twitchy as a result. Extended official warranty on the first one would definitely give me peace of mind.

Like everyone else I'd go for the first one.

A warranty will be sourced, second car has 3rd party warranty. Looked at Mercedes warranty for 1st car - £5697 for a year, Mercedes are having a laugh.
