Simple question. How d'you get them out? Undo all the screws around the door trim and pull maybe? They seem a bit too solidly fixed for that.

Thanks

Phil, I had the same problem - they feel like they're glued on! I believe you just lever them off - try from underneath in case you slip! As I recall, there's no need to take the door panel off.

Right. So we all know. The grill bit just pulls out leaving a plastic ring with 4 screws. Take these out then just pull the speaker out. Nice bit of deadening behind it and LOTS of room for speakers with bigger magnets.

As for the standard units...we'll I was always told if you've got nothing good to say, say nothing....

Cheers

LOL, I was considering changing my speakers and damping the door card with a square of dynamat round the speaker.

What did you put in?

Big speakers = big magnets = more weight.

Nothing...yet. Speakers just sat on the table next to me. Nice bit of shopping tomorrow my thinks. I've always used Infinity's before. Not a daft price, but do the job well.

Swapped the head unit of a Sony CDX-M9900. Wanted to stay Sony as the Dension MP3 player I've ordered can be controlled with it.

Infinity make fantastic speakers. They would be my first choice too.

I don't like infinities, especially with Sony =/ Far to trebley and tiring to listen to. Especially in a car. At least I hated it in my own car when I had that setup.
