Jubu Emira 600bhp
Discussion
Well it would certainly be a exclusive / unique thing to own. Personally, if my goal was to 600bhp I would be looking at a second hand McLaren which was built from the ground up to deliver that performance. Also, do they have a UK supplier / service agent? Feels like there's a much higher risk of problems with that level of tune.

What are peoples thoughts on the Jubu modified Lotus Emira? I have seen a couple of videos on line and it appears to work well.
Buy a McLaren. The Emira is designed for 400bhp. Why mess with it? One thought I have NEVER had whilst driving my Emira is if only I had more power. The Lotus is about balance agility and handling coupled with perfect ooomph. Seriously. Why mess with it?There was a 630bhp Evora that sold this year where the mods were circa 30k or more, must be epic though.
Macs are all autos,so if you want a really high powered manual your options are limited. The Emira deserves more power( or less weight), the Komotec 475 kit has just been finalised for it and running that kit on my Evora, it’d be equally perfect on the Emira.

It appears that there is a heck of a lot more than just a more powerful engine as the whole drivetrain has been upgraded to match. The chassis obviously can handle a lot more power, and whatever criticism there have been of either the Evora or Emira, road manners has not been one of them. The American owner clearly really loves his car, has the funds to throw at it and has no concerns about the Lotus warranty.
If I was ever in the position to do it, I think I probably would - just because I could. 600BHP McLarens are quite common. Thoroughly engineered 600 BHP Emiras. not so much.
Please keep your thoughts coming

The Jubu mods come from the work they did with Radford to build a race engine for Pikes Peak. Although Radford are no more their race car was roughly based on an Exige with the usual Toyota V6. The Jubu engine - was putting out around 720hp with a sequential box and the car won in class and came 8th overall - so a v good result. As has been said the biggest trouble putting this engine in the Emira or Evora is that the standard gearbox needs to be strengthened. So it’s a v costly exercise. That said the Evora can certainly handle the extra power and I suspect that the Emira with its slightly wider track wouldn’t have a problem either

600hp in an Emira seems extreme!
I recently bought one, and I've realised that red line arrives all too quickly.
I would be interested in any way to increase the rev limit, even if it didn't mean a big increase in power.
Can an Exige/Evora 430 map be put on the Emira?
Komotec have just launched their 475 kit for the Emira. I have it on my Evora, big money but worth it.I recently bought one, and I've realised that red line arrives all too quickly.

Jb4 do a module that apparently gives 70 to 100bhp more think off memory about £700 not sure how reliable or safe it will be though
Yes, I've seen that on the Emira forums. Sounds like a reasonable upgrade level.bus_ter said:

The Emira could handle it in terms of chassis as it has a wider track compared to the Evora but I’d say that the suspension would need upgrading to reduce roll in the corners. As you say it would be extreme but I have driven a 600hp Evora and it handles it wellGassing Station | Emira | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
