The bumpers make the car actually look sad !
As said , it looks like there's a lot of effort gone into making that only to fail on the finishing off .

What is this car? Is this based on a MR2? The number plate returns UNKNOWN UNKNOWN 1993.

This kit car looks horrendous for £40k, rear lights are wonky, bumpers are wonky, lights are wonky. like the more I look at this car the wonkier it gets.

I think it's a ground-up kit car based around a custom space-frame. I can't remember the same of the company that makes (or possibly made) them but they can look really quite good when built properly. They usually have a Busso V6, or sometimes a Ford one.

If it's the car I think it is, that's at artifact of the pictures (probably a fish-eyed lens?). Of course it might be a rubbish "replica" based on another car's body instead.

I didn't notice that - now I can't un-see it!
I quite like the "60's sportscar inspired" body kits you can get for the likes of the Z3 or MX5. But the Dino/Ferrari badges always seem a bit desperate. I'd be perfectly happy to own a more interesting looking Z3/MX5 though as long as it wasn't trying to be something else.

Years ago I parked my S1 Elise next to a Dino, and it was very clear where the Lotus designers had taken much of their influence from.

It was an absolute gem of a little car, it looked so light, and perfectly formed.
