Picked up a copy of total kit car today, and on page 69 (for those of you that have it) there is a picture of a white Kingfisher Sprint. But its white, and I think hs a full race body kit.

I think it looks really good actually, not too keen on the original but with this body kit .

Does anyone know about this kit, and where I could get it/a Kingfisher Sprint?

For those that might know it, its white with '41' stickers on it, reg number LEF 76H

it was a later development of the mini jem, with increased headroom, a VW 1303 windscreen, and a bit more space inside.
i got a full brochure for the kingfisher when i bought my jem, and they've not been made for a long time now.
you occasionally get an unbuilt shell come up for sale in the mini marcos owners club mag (this club covers the mini marcos, mini jem and kingfisher.), but they are fairly rare.
there's more info on them on the mini marcos club site.....

juust editing to add that this car was for salein the summer 05 club mag for £6500.
from the add its got a hell of a spec!

Thanks! I do like the front end, and that one for sale looks mint! Only downside is the back end - doesn't really suit the car IMHO

My brother-in-law built one nearly ten years ago and still has it in his garage

Cracking little car, but it's only a 2-seater and whilst he used it every-day isn't a practical car at all - he got it stuck on a drain cover & can't get over speed bumps for instance.

the drain cover incident was when his exhaust got stuck in a lowered cover and he had to get a forklift from work to lift him out... speed humps are problems in most kit-cars in truth, well, they are a problem in my Toyota Carina as well - for ever bottoming out!

i got my heavily laden mini jem stuck coming off the ferry from ireland, the polish crew just picked the whole car up, and carried it a few yards and put it back down again!
