My 1998 Audi A6 is on it's last legs, however the engine, transmission & running gear seem fine.
Is there a Kit car based on the Audi. I'd love to transform it into something a little less boring.

If you want a bit of a challenge have a look at what Bertram did to his GTM Libra. The link is via the Google translation system so the language may be a little strange in places.

Best thing to do is build a kit that suits you and not just limit the choice to youe engine. There is one called a Razor Devil thats a single seat Audi based. Looks nice.
What have you got up your sleeve then Mr Qdos? I understood you were busy on a small eco car.

Unfortunately the A6 (like the A4 and A8, has a longitudinal engine. For the GTM etc you need an A3 donor (transverse)

With the engine amidships longitudinal engine configuration is excellent making the Audi a great donor vehicle

Spire GT-R would be a good kit and pretty cheap to! they can take audi engines with a FWD box.

Cheers

Chris.

My Aeon GT3 uses an Audi TT engine; if the A6's engine is the same kind of size, then it should be fine for that.

Although it's probably note as cheap as the Spire smile

though yours is transverse - you couldn't use the A6 'box (or the A4)

Someone mentioned FWD box earlier; I wasn't too sure about the A6 (I did think it was longitudinal, hence my delay in replying).

Although the engine could be used...
