Thanks any help greatfully recieved......

The more I look at the Ultima unit It looks like the second arm might even have been added by them.... It is only a threaded bolt...

It wouldn't surprise me, I converted a wiper to pantograph for my old sand rail with a few scraps of metal. Unfortunately the merc I was thinking of isn't a pantograph, it's one of those weird ones that pushes the blade in and out as it sweeps.

I'll have another think on it, I know I've seen one on a car I've worked on recently!

this may be a daft suggestion, but have you tried digger manufacturers?! I've just been sat watching a digger which has a pantograph wiper on it! Searched on that and came up with this company:

Just Googled and found Matador, also IIRC Wipac used to manufacture pantograph wiper mechanisms.

Hi Clive
Company down here in Portsmouth do them but no use to you.
However they are a marine supplier so that may point you at a more local source you may not have considered.
Also coaches with swept screens use them and possibly some trucks.

the marine industry certainly does seems to be the place to look.

for example: http://www.marinemegastore.com/category-Wipers-ENG...

seem to sell arms and motors to match.
