A bit of help please folks - i took my V8 westfield to Curborough and noticed a problem. When cornering hard it looses power - fuel i think - on the straight you can floor it in any gear at any speed and your off - but in a hard corner - spluttering!!
It is quite a highly tuned 4.3 with a Weber 500 4 barrell on it.My thoughts are the float level could be a bit low.
Any thoughts - thanks

You may need a swirl pot between your fuel tank and fuel pump, depending on where your pickup pipe is in the fuel tank it may be slurping air on a long sweeping bend.

hmm, i was about to say ssirl pot etc, but on a full tank thats not good.

Even my basic MK fuel tank with yamaha R1 fuel pump got surge after 100 miles inc 60 odd laps at brands.

could you look into baffling with foam?

thanks for the input but i dont think it is tank related because of doing it with a full tank.
If i get time this weekend i will adjust the float levels in the carb and see if this makes a difference - i will also check all electrical connections to ignition etc - you never know!!
keep the ideas coming
thanks

In that case you're probably on the right track.
