Both the West Yorkshire Regions and Greater Manchester/Cheshire groups have Vixens in them. Get to talk to Ian Bannister (tvr79) (W. Yorks), Oliver Edwards(W. Yorks) or Steve Reid (gamekeeper) (Manchester/Cheshire). All should be able to help you with information.
Regarding Books, there is Parts list on the web, maintained by John Upham, www.zen11896.zen.co.uk/vixen/ and there are other sites with rebuilds.
Other books that might be of interest, Haynes book on Ford Kent Engine, Escort MkI/II Workshop Manual, various triumph Haynes books, etc
Hope that helps
