What has happened to Ron Champion?

Anyone know what has happened to Ron Champion or his son James who won quite a few races?
Not too sure. He also did the how to build an OFF ROAD BUGGY for pennies too.
Tha race series is very well supported, with around 45-55 entries for an average race.
From what i've heard, Ron is now living in Spain after being declared bankrupt here in Englend.
I used to race against his son, who only won once btw. James was a nice enough guy, Ron was fine in the early days but could never be relied on.
