Still remembered after 8 years. What a waste of a young life.

His exploits will never be forgotten.

RIP Richard Burns.

Interestingly I have just rediscovered how good (and bloody difficult!) Richard Burns rally is! The 2013 Mod is awesome too.

And english too....

often we have to default to being british so we can have a succesful scot/welsh or irish driver, but Richard was ours and I was very proud when he won his title.

I cant help thinking how different WRC would have been over the last 8 years if he'd been around.....

sleep well big man, you are sadly missed.

indeed with the likes of Richard and Colin gone far to early and makenin and carlos retired WRC is a poor relation to what it was.. even the rallys are neutered to a tv friendly format, only its never on the tv..

not sure I could name a current WRC driver... sad times..

RIP Richard

Probably one of the best in-car videos of loose surface rallying out there (and I have to say, my favorite)
Three things about the vid. The total commitment. His unshakeable faith in his ability and this :

"Don't, don't shout Rob". Spoken as if he's at the flicks and his other half is talking over the film.

A legend.

I remember Richard winning the chaotic 1998 Rally GB, may have been his first WRC victory. The complete opposite of mcrae but both equally great champions.

After 7 years of going to it I stopped going to watch Rally GB when Burnsie retired and haven't much felt like going back since.

An inspiration in many ways both inside and outside the car.

R.I.P Burnsie. Always my hero, a fan from 1992 when we saw him in in the 309, My dad said he'll be world champion one day. I was 9 at the time. Dad knows best.

Thanks for posting that, I didn't know there was a mod for RBR. I'll give it a crack at the weekend.

R.I.P. Burnsie.

It's always a sad day of the year. On the plus side yesterday was the most successful day ever for The Richard Burns Foundation online shop. A big thanks to anyone that bought anything. Orange "Burnsie" shirts are still on offer just £10. http://shop.richardburnsfoundation.com/index.php/s... R.I.P. Richard.
