I'm pretty good on my Alfas, however two in a video have had me stumped, after many a google search I've found nothing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUqHIWCdZ2U&lis...

Car 1 - sort of McLaren F1 looking, good shot of it behind 2.21, from the front 2.54-58, good place to pause is 2.57. Found it, it isn't an Alfa its a Montecarlo Carlo Chiti MonzaCodaLunga GT - Catchy name...20 made some bifuel thingy, from its looks I thought it was from 1992...Still no idea on car 2 though.

Car 2 - Looks very much like the Ferrari 333sp, 4.26 -4.44, 6.36.

I've tried looking on all the sites I know, I'm guessing they were abandoned projects that were either pulled out by the Alfa Museum or one off specials by gentleman racers that never saw any action.

Many thanks in advance

Italy has (or certainly had) a fairly strong domestic sports prototype championship. I saw the series racing at Magione back in 2009 and quite a few competitiors were running the Alfa V6. Quite possible it is something like an Osella with an Alfa engine.

possibly a Lucchini or even a home built thing judging by that skinny looking roll bar. Great video though!

Nice Video,

A few photo of car 2,

To me it looks like a hillclimb special with an Alfa engine in it.

I'm thinking along the same lines now.

Sorry for the rubbish shot, but this is parc ferme at the Italian Prototipo round at Magione in 2009 - gives some indication of the kind of cars out there. I would imagine the car in the photos / videos would be intended either for this series or, perhaps, hillclimbing as above. The early days of the ISRS featured the C2 category dominated by the Italian graduates from this scene.

It's an V6 Alfa Romeo powered Lucchini SN 89.

The group C car, to me the best looking of all group C cars, was the SE048.
