Well, a bit more than that, given you can buy a Mercedes with a 2.0 Turbo in your local showroom chucking out that much power which carries a 3 year warranty! Surely 450bhp is fairly easy to manage even with FWD, wouldn't add much to the budgets, and would make a little bit more lively? The old RS500s had, what, 550bhp?
Don't get me wrong, still really enjoy it!

Personally i think they have the power about right. I'm not a fan of huge power in touring cars, i find the BTCCs racing much more preferable to DTM for example. Lower power breeds closer racing in tin tops. I don't see the relevence of being able to buy more powerful cars. RS500s had more but many see the Supertouring era as the pinicle of perfect touring car racing, and they had less than current.
Love big power in single seaters and sportscars, but for me tourers work best with less.

Yes because adding more power/stroke boost has no affect on engine life and running costs does it? Don't get me wrong, still really enjoy it!

The cars really dont look slow when you watch from trackside!
