That looks like fun!

Any car! I know people who compete in 205's and focus/A3 type cars. There are sets of defined classes in which the car will fall. When it comes to racing cars such as the one in the video you need to comply with the 'Blue Book' regulations.

A speed national 'B' license is around £30 (needs verifying), this allows you to compete in cars below 2 litres. No test is needed to acquire this license. To move up through the license types you must successfully complete events and gain signatures from the clerk of the course.

That's good, I like that, well done.

I was at Shelsley at the weekend and saw two lads sharing runs in a Nissan Micra. You can compete with pretty much anything. smile

(But not a supercharged MX5 though, as I sadly found out).

Sadly we couldn't stay for the last top 12 run-off, and in the morning the drivers were being a tad tentative after showers.

It was still very nice there though. smile

Well that car doesn't hang about!!

I'd love to go an watch some hill climb stuff as I've never been but all the videos on youtube make it look like it has some nice machinery that appears at these events, I'm in Coventry so where is the closest place to here? Failing that my parents live in Somerset so is there anywhere close to there that has hill climbing?

Gurston Down, near Salisbury, on one side, and Wiscombe Park, near Honiton, on the other. Both have events through the season.

You're quite well located there - nowhere too close but Shelsley, Prescott and Harewood are all fairly easy to get to from where you are

coventry- there are three very good hills in the midlands. Loton Park is the one in my video, Shelsley Walsh is another and Finally Prescott. Prescott is a short way down the M5 from Birmingham so would be ok for you i guess

Watching on-board clips, it never fails to amaze me how blind Fallow (the 90 degree left-hander at the top of the "straight") is on the approach. How the likes of Scott Moran in their Goulds and Pilbeams judge their braking points just beggars belief!

In a word - stunning

Looks like it's on fast forward, unbelievable corner speed - and soooo narrow
