Working/Volunteering at Silverstone for the GP?
Discussion
Has anyone worked or Volunteered at the GP before? I worked at the Grand National this year doing Customer Care, I'd love to be able to do something similar but at Silverstone in July (I don't know if that's possible though).
When I applied for the Grand National it was through an organisation - I'd be keen to know who is responsible for taking on people at Silverstone?
Any info, past experiences etc would be great.

The obvious answer is marshalling as they are unpaid volunteers but you won't get the gig marshalling F1 as a newbie. If you look at their website there is quite a structure and lots of training involved to move up through the marshalling ranks. Maybe start this year and work up to it over a period of time.
It might be worth contacting the Marshalls administrator Penny Norris (http://www.silverstone.co.uk/about/silverstone-marshals-team/) to see if she can redirect your enquiry, or perhaps the British Racing Drivers Club (as they are the organisation putting on the event) to see if they need any stewards or other volunteers but I suspect these sort of roles have a lot of regulars, a lot of demand, and a certain pecking order which you may already be too late to join this year. Good luck!
