Following on from ugly F1 cars, thought I'd broaden into racing cars in general, prompted by an entrant in this years Pike Peak:

not in the same league, but they deserve extra points as the lights and grille elevate it from merely awkward....

Burn the unbeliever.

g/f said that lying down next to the barriers when one went by was better than any 1200 spin dryer. 2 at a time with a 'Vette following and she couldn't walk for half an hour hehe

From yesterdays autoblog, didn't read article but should still be in first few pages

The le monstre is half way to one of those wacky customs by that bloke (Andy Saunders?) who did the driving sofa, boat and 2CV Picasso.

Good work on the cropduster - looks like it's from Thunderbirds little know foray into motorsport....

ETA: think the Panoz scrapes into the ugly but interesting / purposeful pile; I do actually prefer it to the generic mediocrity of the Esperante. What do you think of the Abruzzi?

I'll give Don Panoz his due, he makes his cars stand out from the norm, but feck me they are ugly, and you'd have to not be worried about the attention it would receive. Bit like the gumpert apollo really, really interesting car, but fugly

Never going to win any prizes for its looks but in the flesh and in silver it looked acceptable at LM last year.

Looking at those pictures though it appears the girl has to be very carful when selecting her wardrobe...

Rumour has it he's selling off bits left right and center, I wouldn't expect the Abruzzi to get much further. Quite worried about the fate of Road Atlanta now too.

Gentlemen I give you the current Daytona Prototype; who thought that these proportions were a good idea ? Another case of the Ford Scorpio syndrome - nobody at the design sign-off was brave enough to stand up and say it's fugly.

I've seen that circulating at the Goodwood Revival. It drives like it looks.
