Oulton Park Spectator Question
Discussion
Got hold of tickets for the BTCC this weekend, whole family is going so it's my son Asa's first race meeting, he's only 3 but is ready to explode!!
Here is the question though, Oulton Park along with Knockhill is a track I have never been to. I am taking the wife and our 5 month old daughter Eden so where is a good spot on the track to see some action yet stay close enough to the car for some downtime for the baby if needed, I don't want to have to trek miles to the car.
All help welcome.

There's both infield and outfield parking and you can normally park where you like. Most places are only a short walk from the central parking areas.
However, at the bigger meets (Gold Cup, BTCC, F3/GT) you'll find you'll be 'marshalled' into a specific area once inside the circuit.
If you want to be close to the car, then the best option will be to go to one of the 'minor' entrances so that you can park closer to the viewing areas, or even watch from inside the car if it's wet (but be careful not to get stuck if it gets muddy).
There's a PDF of the circuit on the Oulton Park website which shows the parking areas, and you'll want either the East Gate, Knickerbrook or Shaws entrance if you want to avoid the central area.
The downside of parking on the outside of the circuit is that you have less viewing opportunities as you're stuck at one aspect.

Yep I'd reccomend parking near Fogarty Moss Centre if you can. Good view of cascades and toilets etc nearby. However it's popular so unless you are getting there really early (which I doubt with the young kids), it will be full for parking. But anyway, it's only a 5min walk from main parking areas.

I like spectating by this entrance.

You can see them in the distance coming down from the start finish, then coming back from the hairpin, and through the chicane and up the hill under the bridge.
A lot of overtaking tends to happen coming in to the chicane.
(sorry rubbish with corner names!)
