Damon Hill and BRDC

I've just heard that Damon Hill will retire in August from his position at the head of the BRDC.

I've just seen the same, while I haven't followed his work over the five years, he does appear to have done plenty of good for Silverstone. Top bloke. Nice beard.

Isn't it a role that has on limit on the length of term, i.e. 5 years?

I think he'll be sorely missed. There's no doubt he's done a great job.

He has delegated very well in that position, something that his predecessor failed miserably at.

From the couple of times that I have met Damon, he is a very down to earth bloke. Someone you could quite happily have a pint with.

He is a vegetarian though...
