Indycar Texas Twin 275

Anyone else going to be watching this? The "275" is kilometers (guess it sounds better), so each race is actually pretty short, meaning no fuel mileage worries (Chip Ganassi must be relieved...) and probably not many pitstops. Was rather sceptical when they originally announced it, as it sounded rather gimmicky, but a thirty car field running what amounts to a pair of sprint races round a pretty fearsome 1.5 mile oval could be rather entertaining! Just hope KV have lots of spare parts...

Totally forgot about this, should be pretty entertaining! Wonder if the gap in the races will be big enough for repairs or setup changes, random grid will be good as well. Hope it doesnt clash with the f1!

You may joke but apparently spares are getting a bit thin on the ground as dallara start phasing them out.

Don't think it clashes with the F1, as I think it'a under lights in Texas, so small hours over here. This weekend is mad really, as there's NASCAR truck series on Friday, then Le Mans, F1, Indycar and the Sprint Cup over the weekend. I shall barely be leaving the house!

ETA - just noticed the truck series race is at Texas, so that could be quite entertaining. No Kimi for this one, as far as I can sell, but Piquet Jr is entered.

Brian Ickler in the 18 this week. While I watch as many of the truck & Nationwide races as I can, I won't be hunting for a stream at 2am tomorrow morning, I'll be in bed. Staying up for the end of the Coca Cola 600 wiped me out for a week , it was dawn when it finished. The final restart was worth the wait though, plenty of drama in last three miles.

I tried my best to do the full Fizzy Pop 600, but after 200 laps of nothing happening I had to admit defeat. Done a 6 hour ALMS race from Laguna before now, so can stay up when I want to. Both Indycar races are under lights, so are already late for UK viewers. Second race starts at 10:45pm local time. God alone knows what that is in proper time, but I shall endeavour to be awake. Not sure what direction I'm approaching it from at the moment...stay up late or get up early?! I'm actually looking forward to this more than the F1.
