Just in case anyone needs a tacho recalibration to go into europe,i have had mine done today 6 yearly and it cost £46 plus vat

Please enlighten me perry as mine has not been done as i do not use it for business. Mine only gets used for transporting the tuscan/tasmin to race meetings in the uk

Not needed for the UK Kev (as you know), but if you take your truck to Spa later this year...you need one!

cheers andy i had better get it calibrated. When i get the mot's done they only check the speed limiter is working properly as i have it tacho exempt for private use only.

It took them an hour to test the tacho, most of that time was spent trying to find a speed limiter of some sort on my lorry as Andy has said, you only need a working one to travel in Europe.I'm told if you are stopped in Europe, not using a tacho they can impound the lorry and it's contents

Bit different to over here then. A foreigner getting caught without a working tacho gets a council house, a social worker and 200 fags.
