Best Grandstands at Spa GP ?

As above, i've committed to going to Spa GP for the full weekend and I'm after advice for the best Grandstand for the race itself. On Friday and Saturday i will travel around as much of the circuit as possible but on the Sunday i have the choice of Gold 1,2 or 3 (Gold 6 and 8 sold out)
I will be with my wife and son but i would like to take photos with a 100-400mm lense.
My preference is Gold 2 halfway between first hairpin and eau Rouge as you seem to be quite close to the track and good views left and right.
I have read good comments about Gold 3 at eau rouge but it looks further from the track and i dont think you see as much of the track.
I would appreciate comments from anybody who has first hand of either(or both)of the above stands.
I don't really fancy Gold 1 apart from start and finish times would be good maybe better for photography?, any comments would be appreciated.

As I have been in it, (or the uncovered Gold 4) every year since 1995 I would have to say Gold3. This stand, & it's uncovered cousin Gold 4 are for me the best place to be, simply because I like to watch F1 cars through the Radillon/Eau Rouge complex.
Gold 3 is covered, handy if it p1sses down, although if you are on the edge of it (best place to be) & the rain is the usual light (sometimes) but very wet drifting horizontal variety, the benefits are not so apparent.
If you are in the middle of the stand you are well protected from the vagaries of the weather, but surrounded by humanity, look at pics in contemporary magazine articles and you will see what I mean.
On Fri & Sat practice days you can sit/stand where you want (within reason) so for photography it is excellent (Gold 4 too, but you can't go there anymore on the first two days with a Gold 3 tkt, in the past they didn't mind)
If you could wind the clock back to 98(?) Gold1 was THE place to be, courtesy of Mad Davie & the drain cover, but generally I don't rate it. Gold 2 is OK in a way as you are looking up Eau Rouge, but I don't find the view so ""inspiring",
For me,I would say Gold3 with no hesitation, if you feel short changed, try another one next year.

Edited to say, in terms of seeing the most 3 beats 2, if you are at the Top of Gold 3 you can see the bus-stop chicane, but the big-screen TV is a bit further than ideal, if, like me !
(Thank You Spa OFFICIAL ticket agency! ) you are in Row 1, forget the bus-stop, but you can see the screen, and some of what is written on it ,without binoculars. Wherever you are in this stand you can see from exit of La Source until the moment when they lose control at the top of the Radillon. To see the end of the accident you need to either stand at the extremity of the fenced in area (a lot of people do but it screws your view of big-screen & the run down the hill) or get access to the corporate (I guess?) chalet above you, whose view must be the ultimate place to watch.
