Jesus, is it just me or are we getting a car flying over the barriers every week now? It's quite scary, soon you will be able to set your watch by it. Very very lucky marshals....

No, we just notice them more when you get a few similar incidents in a row.

Glad everyone is okay but the really important bit is that it was only ever those who had signed on who were in harms way and the active and passive protection for the punters was, seemingly, 100% successful.

More video recording devices around so most incidents are captured on camera.

This is also a factor, meaning that the incident gets a wider audiance as well, meaning that there appears to be more of it going on.

Plus the speed at which the incidents appear on social media such as Youtube.

They need to modify where the gravel trap meets the tarmac, thats shocking that a car can get into the air like that.

It's not an unusual occurence. Nearly all the recent "cars over barriers" incidents involved the car skipping across the gravel trap or literally flying over it completely.

Slightly ironic the way that the Alpina partly destroys the massive BMW sign.

Perfect example of why tracks are increasingly opting for hard run offs. Still a piss-poor interafce twixt gravel trap and tarmac though.

from the title was expecting this to be on the Nordschliefe, not the super safe modern facility down the road.

Don't want to make light of crashes..

But when the camera cuts to the car on its side its quite awkward and made me laugh.

Its too perfectly parked and composed, with the Alpina and the BMW signs.
