Just read on BBC that Chandock will be in Trulli's seat for this weekend with Trulli coming back in hungary when the team have their new power steering.

Good news for Chandock, but a good performance could make the Team think about him replacing Trulli on a permanent basis!!

Good news, I like Chandhok, hopefully he can put in a good performance and maybe even replace Trulli in the future.

So I guess Trulli is refusing/not bothering to race because of the steering? rofl.

Ah, just seen that they chose to drop him!.

Would love him to do well with this opportunity, he has not shown well with his FPS drive so far this year.

Will be watching closely.

Great news, I can't stand Trulli, and Chandock comes across as a top bloke. Good luck to him.

You know something I had the pleasure of meeting him at the goodwood fos the other week, as he signed my programme I said "mate, we really need to be seeing you back on the grid sometime soon" & he replied " I hope so, I really do".

You can tell when folk are being genuine, & he came across as being as straight as they come in that breif exchange. I've always liked him on the BBC & thought he would make a much better tv personality than coulthard but if he can get a chance in a car then there'll definatly be one more fan on the sofa come Sunday cheering him on.

All the best Chandock!

Has anyone else noticed that Karun sometimes has a touch of welsh in his accent?

Good luck Karun!

Top bloke, met him at his recent charity karting event. Glad he's got another chance at a race, here's hoping for a good performance. Maybe some rain and some points biggrin

It's well known that the Indian and Welsh accents are exactly the same. Didn't you know the DVLA is actually run from Mumbai? wink

he has always come across really well, I really hope he has a good race.

(probably dreaming but getting Lotus their first point would be way cool)

I've met Karun - genuinely nice guy. No airs or graces. Really, really good role model for F1.

I met Trulli years ago and he was ok - friendly enough.

He's a nice guy, but wasn't expecting him to be the second fastest Indian driver in fp1. Come on Karun, got to get your head around the new gadgets quick. smile

I suggest we lock this thread now.

Never before have I seen so many PHers say so many nice things about the same F1 driver...
