I think the poll would be better as :
1. I already have Sky Sports because I watch the Footy/Cricket etc.
2. I am happy to subscribe to Sky Sports to watch the F1.
3. I would begrudgingly subscribe to Sky Sports to watch the F1.
4. I am most certainly not going to subscribe to Sky Sports just to watch F1.

There isn't an option I'd choose up there. I currently have Sky+HD, but only enertainment packs, not movies or sports. Would I pay extra for a sports package? Don't know. I can only answer that when the extent of the scheduling and what is/isn't being shown free to air is reported. Basically, I'm fence sitting. I don't like it, but I'm pretty sure I could save the cash from somewhere else in life (cut back on the missus' birthday pressies for example) if I decide I really want to watch F1.

people need to think further than just the decision to curtail their F1 enjoyment, I for one will NEVER [knowingly] punt even 1p towards the murdoch's...
I have Sky, but will be cancelling at the end of the subscription as I just don't see how it is enjoyable to watch 30% programmes interlaced with 70% advertising, and even less so now that this decision has been made.
If Sky want my money to watch something that is far better being left to the people who know the sport, they can go f
k themselves.

I won't be paying them for coverage of anything I think I will just take the illegal streaming option.

What about the "I'll try and find an internet stream" option?
THIS!I originally got Sky when they got cricket. Football is my favourite sport but during close season not worth it. Cricket filled that time and I would imagine there are people who maybe like cricket or golf for whom the F1 will tip them over to buy it.
I voted BBC, as I'm not interested in football or cricket so won't be investing in a Sky subscription just for F1.
I've seen £40 per weekend mentioned as a Sky cost, but realistically it will be more as I miss some races through other commitments.
If it was PPV for F1 on a race-by-race basis I'd consider it for the better circuits, but not for most of the Tilke-dromes.

So, based on our poll here, Sky will only pick up 4.5% of the current F1 fan base as new subscribers.
That would mean 270,000 viewers instead of 6 million.
I hope the sponsors are doing their forecasts.
OK, I know that some F1 fans will already have a Sky Sports package. But even if you double the numbers to 600,000, that's still only 1/10 of the current audience.
