This is Mikko Hirvonen trying to catch up after having a big off at the start of Rally Finland 2011. I have never seen braver and more skilled driving - let's have your examples

The navigator could commentate horse races. Great driving by Hirvonen, but also a good job by the nav!

The bravest driving I've ever seen is this one:

In some parts of that vid, going off-track meant certain death.

Great videos. This kinda thing needs to be posted more often and shown on TV to give WRC some decent exposure.

The other stage on the same race is worth a look too.

There's one of his with faster stuff through a forest but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Is this a local French off-road series? Any idea what he's driving - looks really tiny.

You gotta love Mills' pacenote delivery.

How the hell these drivers manage to process that stream of information painting the road ahead whilst also driving to the note they heard 5 seconds ago, whilst driving to what they see and listening to what is coming up is beyond me.

I love the the unorthodox pace note at 6:20 "Hairpin left... It get's faster now...." roflroflrofl

And at the end of part 2 Phil says "st the mat!" - just about sums it up for me!

Where's that clip of McRae in the Focus at Keilder (I think), where he's in 6th flat out for ages? It's a brilliant film. smile
