I'm planning on going to brands in oct , however on the sat night i'm in brighton for a gig.
Do i drive to brighton stay the night then to brands the next day, or catch the train to brighton & swanley, or after gig drive to hotel near to brands thus beating the race day traffic?
I'll be coming up from somerset and have option of staying at relatives house in three bridges if needed.
Train tickets are coming in at £110 total for two of us for the weekend.

Correct but that was without the option of taking the train or using three bridges as a base.
I'm thinking if i take the train i'd avoid the m25 traffic but wouldn't have the convenience of driving when and where i want.

If I've read that right, are you considering the train from Brighton to Swanley on the sunday? If so, I'd drive it. Train will be into London then back out to Swanley (then a cab), whereas the drive will be about 60 mins. Traffic on the M25 should be ok sunday morning.
