Glad to hear it, and if he does get in, and do Ok, that will be, in my mind, as bloody incredible as anything else bar Lauda. Hope it all goes well for him.

Kubica has immense talent and F1 has been the poorer without him this year.
However, I cannot help feeling that the positive news about his ongoing recovery is being overstated. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong but I still don't believe that he will be able to drive competitively in F1 again.

Didn't people say the same about Lauda? Naninni pretty much severed his arm, and although he never raced F1, he did go on to race other things. That was 20 years ago. Who knows how medical science has developed? I'm hoping for a return.
And Alexander Zanardi losing his legs, then went on to race reasonably successfully in Touring Cars (shame his F1 career wasn't so great though).Kubica's biggest challenges:
1) who will he replace at Renault? (Petrov has been quite handy and gets some good results - and brings money, Renualt probably like having the Senna name there - and the money it brings???)

It hinges on him proving he wants to and can come back of course. All the best to him, I hope he does come back as pretty just any F1 fan.

He hasnt even got back in a road car yet, thinking he's going to return to F1 is fanciful at this point IMOKubica's biggest challenges:

Looks like Renault have started to put the pressure on his recovery for him to keep his seat.
As reported in Autosport all very polite but you can feel the pressure that he needs to be showing signs of recovery / driving road car or simulator in the next 6 weeks.
