Does anyone have any experience setting up a Rover Tuscan using Toyo R888's.I,m thinking of going less on camber say +3 front and aiming for a hot tempreture of 26/28psi.

Perry, there was a good write up on Andy Race's TVR Monster site - sure it's about 26ish psi hot. We've always ran the same setup on the griff for R888's as slicks (and run the same size tyres) - if anything the car is a little more predictable on R888's I think - slides nicer lol...

Hi Dave,

Just read Andy's thoughts and he recon's 30psi hot.Do i take it the settings you have on the griff are as aggresive as the Tuscan ? As i have never driven a RV8 Tuscan before let alone raced on 888's i expect a lot of side ways action and am really looking forward to it,although looking at Silverstone National video from Andy Holden side ways might focuse the mind a little more than usual ha ha as it looks like a very fast lap.

Its all the same mate
Don't change your set up.

They are almost identical but with around 10% less grip. Which is alot.
The tyre will deform when running low pressures so has to be up around 30psi but NOT over it.

Hi Perry,

Our settings are still in need of fine tuning lol... Camber etc won't be as aggresive as a tuscan though. Andy is probably the best man to ask, having driven RV8 Griff and Tussy. Have fun though, Snett was a blast when I ran the R888's there smile
