Hungary or Silverstone

Need a bit of help-
Went to Silverstone last year for the British GP, thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend. Camped for 3 days, eating, drinking and having a great time.
Next year we thought about going a bit further afield to Hungary. The timing of the Grand prix is important in terms of getting time off work and we thought that the tickets looked good value, however unsuprisingly, Easy Jet are charging the same as BA to get there which makes the whole trip a lot more expensive than Silverstone.
Also, watching the excellent BBC coverage Jake et al rave about the Silverstone experience and last week at Monza how the Tifosi make a fantastic crowd. I cannot however remember anyone saying, "Those Hungarians are mad for F1!"
I was a little concerned that the experience just might not measure up and considering it is a lot more than Silverstone we were having second thoughts.
Anyone been the Hungarian GP?

I went to Hungary back in 2005, it was OK but I have to say when Bernie criticised Silverstone for having crap facilities he demonstrated that he has obviously been walking around the Hungaroring with his head up his a
e.
To say they were out of date, country village fare-like and not co-ordinated in terms of transport to and from the track would be an understatement.
On the plus side it's lovely countryside around the track and Budapest is a nice city.
I'm assuming the facilities have been updated since my visit (I would hope).
The hotel prices weren't too expensive either (we stayed at the Hilton).
It was not overly crowded either IIRC.
Worth checking out, especially now that Turkey is unfortunately off the calendar.

I don't think facilities have improved, last visit was in 09 and had the same issue with flights so as an alternative to easyjet from Gatwick to Budapest (IIRC approx £400 return) flew Stansted to Bratislava (2 Hour drive) and hired a car, rented an apartment in Pest (Great City) all for less than the cost of flights for party of 4.
Thoroughly recommend.
