I'm watching it on Motors tv and assume they are taking the feed from ESPN so thats why there are so many ads.

It's a great race so far, not sure how long they can race this hard, FFS it's a 6 hour race!

How they made the decision for a Stop & go almost 'instantly' after the incident was a bit a suprising. They can't have reveiwed it for very long.

Good result for Porsche in GT, and the Hybrid beating all of the regular GT runners them was hugely impressive as well

Sadly its about TV marketing profile and that web streaming in the States is not highly regarded by the sponsors. The last blow of course is the World Endurance Championship and the FIA. How would we feel if the Americans walked into a European classic and said non of your national championship cars can continue after 2012 to enter....well the ACO have gone to the dark side (the FIA) and have done that to the Americans at Sebring.....I think that this is intolerable, an insult. Sebring means as much to them as it does to us and it IS a US event.

Then there is the question of the ridiculous performance difference between diesel and petrol which I read on blogs is completely unacceptable to Dyson and Greg Pickett (as it is to many of the European teams) It really hurts me to say this but the ALMS, which I really love watching and produces the most exciting racing BAR NONE(!) is sadly to go the way of CART very soon; unless some very rational minds sit down and review carefully whether or not they can find a way to leave the influence gnomes in le Mans and become THE endurance championship of the US. Not easy given that IMSA at its height existed solely through (I also gather from reading blogs)) Camel cigarette money. Now fag money is a thing of the past its down to competing with everyone else for the same pie.

Then there is the vexed issue of Grand AM, which I have to say I really dislike, their 'prototypes' are a joke! Some sort of union might be essential but would it ever be a real union or a take over?? That one question alone seems to have no acceptable answer.

There is so much going against ALMS it is hard to see a future.
