taz windscreen
Discussion
My Mate Harriet had an off today in her Tazmin at Shelsey Walsh hill climb. She has smashed the windscreen so i could do with a pointer as to where to get one from.Does anyone on here have a spare to sell? glass or perspex will do.Need to get car sorted as it's going to spa in two weeks.Thanx in advance
Hi Perry, yes, they have a pattern. I think I paid about £85.00 but that was about 4 years ago.
If you have a sheet of 4mm Lexan it is easy enough to make your own. Its a basic shape with no curves.

hi rich, how you doing ? do you know if your sourse has a pattern for the taz.I,m just finding out if she can run plastic in the TVRCC speed championship at the moment and am waiting for a reply or wether it has to be glass.
Don't have a pattern for a Tas, just use slightly stiff brown paper to make a template from your current screen/frame, post it to me and I'll get one cut (4mm) for you. The perspex edges are easy to trim with a belt sander during the fitting process. Call or text me on 07831 546548 if interested.hello Darren,
I havn,t heard if the CSCC had a photo man there on the day.My mate took some of the day which will get to me soonish i expect. To be honest there wasn't much viewing area's for spectators on the day, none of the stands were open which we thought was a little poor,it reminded me of the crowds that spectated at rockingham which was probably why the stands were locked.because i have only just in the last week got the car on track i am sadly short of pictures at the moment.I have a couple taken in the car park which arn't great but all i have.If your intersted the car was bought from factory by the Mc Alpine Building family raced in the challenge for two years by one of the son's.then did hill climbs for 3 years and has been in store with various owners for the past 17 years. It was used a few times on trackdays and a trip many years ago to the ring, which was when it was registered for the road,it was going to be driven to the ring but the owner decided it was best to trailer it there (i wonder why).I bought and sold it to a chap 2 years ago who used it twice, the chap had problems with eye to hand to foot coordination,so i bought it back and have been getting it sorted slowley so i can get into classic racing when i get to old to climb onto the top step of DTEC with out been helped.
It's a fantastic car your really going to like it when you see it.Saturday's race was the first time i'd driven a RV8 Tuscan in anger and i,m in LOVE.The second time i get to drive it will be in Spa race next week does it get any better than that,I don't think so .If it wasn't the fact I want to race a new build Bitsa aero Tuscan with loads of knobs and wistles on it, that is just about finished Iv'e also been working on,I would definatly have raced in Group B next year. I dig what the old Tuscans are about. To get back on subject i'll start a photo thread off on hear. could you post up some of your cars to get the thread going as i really like both as you know.

I have a sheet of laxan and a damaged screen as a template in my barn, the plan was to get it cut, if it's urgent and can't source from anywhere else, your happy to borrow, and then replace when you have more time.Forums | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
