Vettel's pints difference- and the benefits of luck!
Discussion
Having an idle ponder today about how much luck plays in the winning of a WDC.
Struck me that button failed to finish 2 faces due to outside factors (wheel coming off, and hydraulic failure). Lets presume those two races were representative of his season and he might have finished 2 and 3. this woul dhave been an extra 33 point.
lets also say that vettel had not finished two races (for factors outside his control)- worth say a 1 and 2- this would have been 43 points- plus another 17 in buttons favour.
At this point in the season vettel Button would be on 217 points and vettel on 241. the season would still be wide open.

I completely agree - and this is the thing that annoys me so much about Vettel - every thing goes his way. I appreciate he's a bloody quick guy but it always falls into place for him! He never gets bad luck, or if he does, how bad it is and how often it is nothing compared to the good. Was there a drinking contest i've not heard about? if so exactly how many pints did Seb down before he started to fall behind? i meen 2 and then slowed down he's a bit of a poof, 12 pints then slowed down he's a bit of a "bloke".
Well maybe but Vettel's been lucky. With a bit of luck Liuzzi could have won all the races so far too. Makes you think eh? Probably not.Nick3point2 said:

Personally, I think you should point the finger of blame for all his good fortune & luck at his team, both track side and in MK. Forums | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
