Seb who?

Has there ever been a season when the guy who wins the world championship has had less screen time? At this rate Red Bull will be pulling their sponsorship.

It's been great season, but it's had almost nothing to do with Seb, we've only ever seen him on the last lap.

Perhaps KING Seb knows actions speak far louder than words or adverts unlike some I could mention. A

Whenever Brundle goes to interview him before a race he's mobbed by people, so it's probably the BBC's bias towards Button/Hamilton and occasionally Di Resta.

Yup. Many of the Schumi dominance seasons had little coverage of him, mostly as it was dull TV (and I'm not denigrating his performance, just the absence of on track action at the front).

yet he still gives more time to the media than pretty much all of the other drivers

Actualy when i think back now, most races when hes out in front yea, you hardly see him lol!

Regards to BBC coverage, they do the cameras do they? People at the track dictate what goes out from the cameras?

FOM (Formula One Management) run the cameras at the circuits and provide a standard feed to the worldwide broadcasters. The likes of BBC then have a supplementary crew for commentating, interviews, etc.

Aside from Monaco and Suzuka, who apparently have their own provider.

It used to be the local broadcaster, which lead to all kinds of favoritism and bias for on track action.

Im sure RedBull aren't too worried being WorldChampions and all. Likewise Renault are loving the publicity with very large full page adverts in most papers at the weekend.

But still RB got a lot of coverage due to the battle between Mark and Lewis over 2nd.

It's just how it goes - when someone is racing around on their own they dont tend to get shown - the TV Director will focus on cars close together, there is usually a battle somewhere, or as used to be the case (and sometimes still is) the local TV Director for FOM would focus on the 'local' driver: Notice alot of attention on Kamui in Japan this year?

The coverage of the race is done by FOM one of Bernie's companies. The coverage of interviews and reporters, Brundle's pit walk etc, is done by SIS Live cameras for the BBC. SIS used to be the BBC Outside Broadcast Department, but in one of many nonsensical decisions by the corporation, they were sold.

As Bernie controls the company that covers the race and qualifying you can be sure that he is well aware of who gets what in terms of sponsorship exposure. As Red Bull have four cars in every race I shouldn't think they are too worried about lack of exposure.
